Information On Obtaining A Quote

A Medical Malpractice insurance policy is complex. It is very different then purchasing auto insurance for example. On occasion we can get a price indication without obtaining all of the information required. However, it is common for insurance carriers to require most of the information before providing discounted pricing.

By filing out the Quotes/Enquiry form you are under no obligation to move forward with our company as your risk managers. Also we do not sell your contact information and only provide it to carriers who are interested in quoting your account. Your information will be assigned to one of our in house Medical Malpractice Brokers to contact you personally to answer any questions or concerns.

Examples of information often times required for quoting:

1. Completed Application – These documents can be overwhelming and clients often ask if they have to fill out multiple applications for every carrier that we approach. We will not present you or your staff with a blank application. It is our job to complete as much information as possible and allow you to fill in the blanks and verify our data. Also we will prepare the applications for all of the carriers that we approach based on information from one application with you verifying the data.

2. Five year of loss runs – Always required before final pricing is provided. Occasionally and for some specialties, a price indication can be obtained with loss runs pending. We can direct you in how to order your loss runs.

3. Curriculum Vitea or CV – Usually required before final pricing. An indication can be provided with this information pending.

4. Any claim information- Loss runs will show most of the basic information but carriers usually require more in depth information before quoting. Our application has areas specific for this information to be provided. Just because you have claim(s) history does not mean that there are not competitive options available to you. In fact we feel that any physician with a claim(s) history needs to test the market every year.

5. Medical Board sanctions/action information – Our application has a section to capture this information. Similar to claims a physician with Board sanctions or action needs to test the market every year for competitive options on their medical malpractice policy.
